And God is able to bless you abundantly, so that in all things at all times, having all that you need, you will abound in every good work (2 Corinthians 9:8).
Giving
Jesus says, 'Whoever wants to be my disciple must deny themselves and take up their cross and follow me' (Matthew 16:24 NIV).
Because Jesus gave himself and took up his cross, we are enabled to give ourselves and take up our cross as we follow Jesus. Taking up our cross means to serve others selflessly.
Below are some ideas on how you can serve others in our community.
VOLUNTEER
There are many opportunities to give yourself in service to others locally and further afield.
Locally we have a need for office helpers, gardeners, greeters, musicians and others.
Please contact Pastor Allan to learn how you can serve the church with your abilities.
For national opportunities, check out the LCA Employment and Volunteering webpage.
DONATION OF NON PERISHABLE GOODS
You can donate non perishable goods by bringing them on Sunday and place them in our wicker baskets. These donations go to Mary Macs Place who provide social, community and friendship opportunities for men, women and families, young people, the elderly, and the socially and economically disadvantaged.
GIVE YOUR POSSESSIONS – YouthLife Op Shop
