Let us not love with words, but with actions and truth (1 John 3:18).
Our Community
As lifelong disciples and followers of Jesus, we’re always learning and growing in our faith. We provide a number of opportunities to grow.
Worship services
We grow as we gather each week at our worship service.
Lutheran women’s fellowship and prayer
We grow as we pray together. You’re invited to join us as we pray for each other, our community and the world. We meet on the first Wednesday of every month at 10.00am at the church. The meeting includes devotion and Bible study, then other business, followed by lunch. Our LWF 2018 programme is available in our members area however some of our activities involve the following:
- The annual Operation Christmas Child and World Vision child sponsorship, the World Day of Prayer and an annual donation to Lutheran World Service, choosing from the various opportunities that encourage making a big difference to those in need overseas, such as the birthing kits for PNG.
- LWF Convention and Coastal Fellowship Days are enjoyed by members each year.
- The LW Retreat is attended each year by ladies who gain a great deal of fellowship and scriptural sustenance.
Pastoral services
Baptism, confirmation, marriage and funeral services.
House blessings give a wonderful sense of peace and happiness to those members who seek the benefits of this prayerful blessing and is usually followed by a shared lunch.
Home visits with holy communion are offered for those who are housebound. They are a wonderful opportunity for people to hear the word of God and share in our Lord's supper.
Hospital visitation is for those who are ill and can bring deep solace and comfort.
